A public foundation remains useful only when responsibility is not optional.
These terms describe the rules for using DevHub 404, publishing content, participating in the community, and relying on external references.
Using DevHub
DevHub connects developers with knowledge, references, tools, projects, opportunities, and community. Public reading does not require an account. Account actions such as publishing, voting, saving, answering, following, or managing a profile require the corresponding authenticated capability.
Accounts and authentication
Keep your authentication methods secure, provide accurate information when required, and do not use another person’s identity. Do not share credentials, bypass MFA, evade restrictions, or use a new account to circumvent a suspension or ban.
What DevHub provides
DevHub organizes and contextualizes information; publication does not by itself certify truth, quality, safety, recency, or suitability. DevHub does not guarantee hiring, payment, event attendance, external service availability, or the accuracy of a third-party link.
Content and authorship
You remain responsible for what you publish and for the rights needed to publish it. Authorship belongs to the publishing Account or the explicitly represented Organization; it is not transferred to DevHub. Respect copyright, privacy, licenses, trademarks, contracts, and applicable law.
Content license and repository license
By publishing content, you retain authorship and grant DevHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, render, index, cache, relate, and distribute that content through DevHub and its public representations. This permission is limited to operating, preserving, improving, and presenting the platform. Code and documentation in this repository are licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later; platform content is not automatically covered by that license.
Content formats
Articles and Projects preserve authored work. Questions and Answers address concrete problems and may become immutable after publication. Jobs, Events, News, and Resources have their own editorial and external-source rules. Codex, Cheatsheets, Roadmaps, and Tools are versioned repository content reviewed through project changes.
Suggestions and contributions
Suggestions for Jobs, Events, News, Resources, and other editorial surfaces are proposals, not publications or guarantees of acceptance. DevHub may review, modify, accept, reject, archive, or preserve their provenance according to the responsible owner’s rules.
Prohibited use
Do not publish malware, phishing, spam, fraud, unlawful material, private data without authorization, credentials, tokens, or secrets. Do not impersonate others, manipulate votes or discovery, abuse automated access, attack the service, or deliberately mislead people about an external destination.
External services and opportunities
OAuth, email, hosting, storage, Discord, external documentation, repositories, jobs, and events may depend on third-party services. Their operators control their own terms and availability. Verify identity, destination, license, payment, contract, registration, and security before acting.
Reports and moderation
A Report is a claim, not a verdict. DevHub may preserve context and evidence, limit exposure, hide, archive, remove, or correct content, and restrict, suspend, or ban Accounts when the responsible owner or safety process requires it. Moderation does not create authorship or transfer ownership.
Votes, views, and discovery
A positive Vote expresses perceived usefulness; it does not certify truth, quality, seniority, or author reputation. Views represent reach. Search, Popular, Trending, Recent, Feed, and Related use distinct signals and do not create a universal reputation score or ranking of developers.
Sponsors and independence
The baseline has no advertising inventory. Sponsorship may recognize supporters, but it does not buy placement, editorial authority, moderation influence, ranking, or control over community content.
Restriction, deactivation, and deletion
You may deactivate or request deletion of your Account according to the available flows. Deletion may remove, anonymize, or preserve content according to each owner’s continuity rules. DevHub may suspend, ban, or terminate access for abuse, security, legal, or moderation reasons; these actions do not authorize evasion through another Account.
Responsible party
DevHub 404 is founded and developed by Júlio Pattuzzo.
